Kodak 1922 Film Test

Mike · October 8, 2011 ·

I can’t believe I’m posting an embedded YouTube video, but I just can’t help myself. It’s a 1922 Kodachrome film test. The women are probably around 20 years old, the same age as Enedina is now; they’re probably just a couple years older than my mom’s mom was in 1922.

I’m riveted by this montage. It seems so delicate, enhanced somewhat by the sound track. Even still, I find it to be strikingly beautiful.

One of comments on the YouTube site remarked that sadly, these women have probably all passed away, which is likely, but only underscores the impact of a moving picture.
