Two Birds, One Stone

April 4 was Day 9 of Colorado’s COVID-19 shutdown. Wanting to ease some boredom and fly the drone, I climbed onto our roof hoping to improve transmission connectivity, line-of-sight, and situational awareness all while practicing some social distancing.

Despite my rooftop perch, I had a lot of controller signal interference and could only reliably fly within a four-block radius of the house. I managed an uninspired high-altitude orbit of the Orman Mansion, but didn’t get anything else worthwhile.

The Orman Mansion, built in 1890, shown here in an April 4, 2020, video is a Pueblo landmark.
