I found myself in Westcliffe yesterday. It’s just flat-out gorgeous up there right now. There’s lots of snow, lots of water, and lots of greenery to be had.
I asked a woman from town if she’d ever seen so much snow on the Sangre de Cristo peaks so late in June. “Nope,” she said, “not in 31 years.”
Lucky me.
