Monica’s cultivated quite a cactus crop over the years. And the work she’s put into them recently paid off. Earlier this month, all seven of her cacti blossomed simultaneously. That was a first. We woke up, and there they were on the deck, in full flower. Some looked like chrysanthemums, others were solitary spikes.

Sadly, the show lasted but a day.

However, it does appear another act is in development although it’s seems unlikely to match the spectacle of a few weeks ago.
