On my way out of Denver last month, a mural caught my eye. It featured a blue-haired character with sideburns and sunglasses, but I couldn’t quite why it seemed familiar.

Then the switch flipped. It was Elvis rendered in the style of “Rocko’s Modern Life,” the Nickelodeon cartoon from the 1990s. Think Buddy Gecko crossed with Ed Bighead and I think you’ll agree.
