I’ve been wanting to shoot a photo of this grape vine for for a while now. It lights up when the early morning sun hits it.
I tried using my iPhone to photograph it but just could not get a sharp image or a correctly exposed one to save me.
So I turned to one of my Polaroid pack film cameras which I thought had some Fuji 3000-B black-and-white film in it. When I pulled the film across the rollers and out of the camera, I realized this wasn’t Fuji film. It turned out to be a pack of Polaroid Sepia 100 film. My last pack of Sepia, as a matter of fact.
The surprise was bittersweet. Sepia’s a great film and fun to shoot. I think it did the grape vine justice. But I’m a bit bummed I won’t be shooting any more of it. I do, however, have a pack of Chocolate film squirreled away in the back of the ‘fridge, along with four or five packs of the aforementioned Fuji B&W film, as well as a boat load of long expired Polaroid 669 color film. So my pack film days, while numbered, aren’t over quite yet.
