Three or four times a summer, I’ll prune the roses in our backyard, pitching the expired blooms into a five-gallon bucket before they get tossed into the trash.
After a recent pruning session, the mid-morning light had a nice, soft box quality about it, so before they found their way to the garbage, I dumped the deadheads on a table in the carport and made this picture with one of my SX-70 cameras.
