Monica, Enedina, and I returned from our eight day sojourn to Santa Rosa Wednesday. It was our first trip there in a couple years (nearly 10 for Enedina) and it was remarkable in many ways.
The inspiration for the visit was to celebrate Cate’s 80th birthday but something happened along the way that made this vacation into something much more.

My sister Mary and I seemed to agree that the past week had indeed been something special. Without elaborating, she suggested it was about “connections.”
I hope to do a short series of posts about the trek to northern California–see Bob’s Flag–over the next week or so with that theme in mind.
And please forgive me if I’m not as concise as my big sister while doing so.
Awww Frankie made the Pueblo Periodically! Sorta. I look forward to reading more Tio Miguel.
