
…but be advised: Luna’s the grim reaper in disguise.
At first glance, Luna appears to be a petite, neat, and sweet grey cat. If you were to cross paths with her, she’d quickly disarm you with her big green eyes, rub against your leg, meowing softly, and inviting you to pet her in that demur, feline sort of manner.
Be glad you’re a biped. If you had a tail, or wings, make no mistake: she’d be working out a way to take you down.
I’ve run across a number of Luna’s kills in the backyard. They’re usually various birds, or on occasion, mice. This past September I found the dogs hovering around a dead squirrel laid out in the lawn. That was a first.
I don’t mean to come off sounding that I’m shocked or taken aback our cat is doing something cats do. Frankly, she does it pretty well. It just makes mowing the grass something of an adventure.
