Reina doesn’t pursue rabbits as fiercely as she once did. She’ll let Rafa do that these days.

And it sometimes requires a little more effort on her part to get back up on her feet after a hike-just like her owner.

But she still sets the tone and leads the charge out the door when we head out for our morning excursions. I figure Reina and I have hiked/walked over 7,000 miles over the course of the past eight years. That’s a lot of charging out the door.

Here’s hoping for another another eight.
