Change, from time to time is a good thing. And a change has come to Pueblo Periodically.
It’s gone HTML5. What’s that mean? Well, for starters, it’s leaner than the former HTML4/Flash-based architecture the site was built on. Pages, galleries, and videos will load more quickly than with the old site. Pueblo Periodically is now responsive too, allowing a singular experience regardless of device, be it desktop computer, tablet, or phone.
This was also an opportunity to implement something I’ve been wanting to do for some time: employ a minimal theme. The theme’s design is clutter-free, intuitive, easy on the eyes, navigation is a snap, and content pops.
There are still a few loose ends to attend to; old Flash galleries need to be changed over to HTML5 players, and I’d like to style a couple elements on the homepage, but that aside, it’s ready to go.
I hope you enjoy the refreshed Pueblo Periodically. Feel free to poke around. And let me know what you think.
